Bot Settings

Webhooks & Automatic Actions

Send message, status, subscriber and CRM events to your own systems with webhooks, and automatically push contacts to Google Sheets, email lists, email or SMS.

Bot Settings can trigger actions automatically, without building a flow.

Webhook tab#

Switch on the events you want and paste a URL for each — from your own server or a tool like Make, Zapier or n8n:

Trigger Fires when
Incoming Message A customer sends you anything
Outgoing Message Your bot, AI or an agent sends a message
Message Status Change A message is sent, delivered, read or fails
Conversation Status Change A chat is assigned, resolved, archived, etc.
New Subscriber A new contact is added
CRM Stage Change A contact moves to another CRM stage

Wably sends a JSON payload to the URL for each event. Click Publish Changes after saving.

Tip

Testing a webhook? Use a free request-inspector site to see exactly what Wably sends before wiring it into your real system.

Google tab#

After connecting Google, choose a Google Sheet. Subscribers collected by the bot are written there automatically — handy for teams that live in spreadsheets.

Auto Responder, Email and SMS tabs#

  • Auto Responder — add emails collected in chat to a Mailchimp, Brevo, ActiveCampaign or Mautic list.
  • Email — send a custom email when a customer shares their email address in chat.
  • SMS — send an SMS through your connected gateway when they share a phone number.

The email, SMS and email-marketing providers are added first under Chatbot Manager → Integrations (Autoresponder, Email, SMS).

More automation outside Bot Settings#

  • Automation → Outbound Actions — send data out when something happens in a flow.
  • Automation → Webhook Workflows — the reverse: let another app trigger a WhatsApp message. See Integrations.
