Connect Other AI Apps
Settings for ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, OpenAI Codex, Gemini CLI, n8n and other MCP apps — OAuth sign-in or an API-key header.
Every app uses the same server: https://mcp.wably.in/mcp. Apps that support OAuth open the Wably connect page; the rest send your API key in a header.
AI apps change their menus often. If a step below has moved, look for "MCP", "Connectors" or "Apps" in the app's settings.
ChatGPT#
In ChatGPT settings, open Apps / Connectors, turn on Developer mode (under Advanced), then create a connector:
- URL: https://mcp.wably.in/mcp
- Authentication: OAuth
Sign in on the Wably page, then enable Wably in a chat.
Claude Code#
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user wably https://mcp.wably.in/mcp
Then run /mcp inside Claude Code, choose wably → Authenticate, and paste your key on the Wably page.
Cursor#
Add to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"wably": { "url": "https://mcp.wably.in/mcp" }
}
}
Cursor shows a Login button for Wably in its MCP settings.
VS Code (GitHub Copilot)#
Add to .vscode/mcp.json (or your user MCP settings):
{
"servers": {
"wably": { "type": "http", "url": "https://mcp.wably.in/mcp" }
}
}
OpenAI Codex CLI#
codex mcp add wably --url https://mcp.wably.in/mcp
codex mcp login wably
Gemini CLI#
Add to ~/.gemini/settings.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"wably": {
"httpUrl": "https://mcp.wably.in/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_WABLY_API_KEY" }
}
}
}
n8n, Make and other apps#
Use the app's MCP client with:
- Server URL: https://mcp.wably.in/mcp
- Transport: HTTP (Streamable HTTP)
- Auth: OAuth with automatic client registration, or a header Authorization: Bearer YOUR_WABLY_API_KEY
Last resort: key in the URL#
If an app accepts only a URL, use https://mcp.wably.in/mcp/k/YOUR_WABLY_API_KEY.
Anyone who sees that address gets full access to your account, and apps may log it. Use a separate key, and delete it when you stop using that app.
