Wably MCP — Use Wably from Claude, ChatGPT & More
Connect your Wably account to AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Claude Code, and manage WhatsApp messages, contacts, labels, deals and orders by asking in plain words.
The Wably MCP server connects your Wably account to the AI assistant you already use. Instead of clicking through the dashboard, you can ask:
"Show me today's unread chats and summarise what each customer wants."
"Tag everyone who asked about wedding packages with Interested – Wedding."
"Send Rahul the order_shipped template for order ORD-1042."
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI apps use to work with other tools. Wably's server gives your assistant 44 tools for messaging, contacts, labels, sequences, CRM deals, catalog orders and the Wably help guides.

What you need#
- A Wably account with a connected WhatsApp number
- A Wably API key — see Your API key
- An AI app that supports MCP connectors: Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and others
Good to know#
- The WhatsApp 24-hour rule still applies. Within 24 hours of a customer's last message the assistant can send anything; after that, only approved templates are delivered.
- No bulk sending. The assistant messages one customer at a time. Campaigns belong in Broadcasting.
- It uses your plan. Subscriber limits, message credits and Meta's message charges apply as usual.
- Your key stays with your app. The Wably MCP server keeps no copy of your API key.
Messages the assistant sends are real — they reach real customers, may be charged by Meta, and can't be unsent. Read what the assistant proposes before you approve it, and be careful with "always allow".
